Nancy Ellen Hird is also the author of Marty's Monster, a story about jealousy. This I-Can-Read is now found in the anthology Sports Stories. Another I-Can-Read, Jessica Jacobs Did What?, a story about asking for help, is included in the anthology Silly Stories.

Two of her short stories for adults can be found in the story devotionals, 21 Days of Love and 21 Days of Joy.
